Number 7

It's widely known that Peely's favourite song was Teenage Kicks, so the link for 1980 is a recording of the time he played the song twice in a row.

1982's number 7 is Wah's 'The Story Of The Blues'. It's strangely mesmerising watching a man sitting on a stool, singing to no-one in particular. The brilliant Pete Wylie.

1983 is the wonderful Billy Bragg, having a good old sing-a-long with New England, in a way you can only do if you've written the song yourself. Real song-writing is the proof of an artist, and Billy Bragg is one of the very best.
